Champions League - Qualifying scenarios

A look at all the permutations with five places in the knockout phase of the Champions League still up for grabs.

Group E

Fiorentina (1st/2nd) - Fiorentina would win the group with a win at Liverpool and a draw would suffice if Lyon do not beat Debrecen by two goals.

Lyon (1st/2nd)

Liverpool (3rd)

Debrecen (4th)

Group F

Barcelona (1st/2nd/3rd) - A draw with Dynamo Kiev would put Barcelona through and Barca can afford to lose by a two-goal scoreline other than 2-0 at Dynamo.

Inter Milan (1st/2nd/3rd/4th) - Inter need a win to advance, though if Dynamo do not pick up maximum points, a 0-0 or 1-1 draw would do for Inter

Rubin Kazan (1st/2nd/3rd/4th) - Rubin need a win to advance, though if Dynamo do not pick up maximum points, a 2-2 draw or higher would take Rubin through.

Dynamo Kyiv (1st/2nd/3rd/4th) - The Ukrainian club must win 2-0 or by three goals to ensure progress, unless Inter and Rubin draw in which case any victory would be enough.

Group G

Sevilla (1st/2nd) - Sevilla will finish first if they draw or beat Rangers.

Unirea Urziceni (1st/2nd/3rd) - Unirea require a draw in Stuttgart to progress.

VfB Stuttgart (2nd/3rd) - Stuttgart must win to go through

Rangers (4th)

Group H

Arsenal (1st)

Olympiakos (2nd/3rd) - A home draw with Arsenal will send Olympiakos through

Standard Liege (2nd/3rd/4th) - Standard would overtake Olympiakos on head-to-head record by beating AZ if the Greeks lose.

AZ Alkmaar (3rd/4th) - The Dutch outfit will earn a place in the UEFA Europa League place should they defeat Standard.
